Special Bingo Cards

Throwing a party? Looking for something special to do in order to entertain your guests and friends? Feel like doing something special? Well, how about bingo?
No, we're not talking about regular bingo. We mean you should create your own special kind of bingo.

Do your guests know each other well? How would you like to make the mood lighter and get the guests to know each other better while at it?

Well, here's a nice game for parties, brought to you by Queens Club Bingo, which is easy to create and really lots of fun to play – your own custom bingo game, and instead of numbers, use the names of your guests!

The first thing you should do is prepare the blank cards. All you have to do is either draw the cards on cardboard or paper rectangles, or make a "word" table with the number of cells you wish to have on your board. It doesn't even have to be a square board of 4x4, 5x5 etc.; you can make a 5x4 card and no one will be mad at you for breaking any bingo laws.

Once you got your blank cards ready, with the number of cells you desired, you make a list of the names of all your guests. You roughly calculate the chances of a name to appear (1 out of X, when X is the total number of guests). If you have up to 25 guests, put all the names of every guest on the boards, in different variations and combinations. If there are more than 25 guests, only most of the names should appear on the cards. Make sure no one gets neglected, and every name appears equally in most cards.

When the cards are ready, make separate lottery notes, each note contains a name of one of the guests. Put them all in a jar or a big bowl, once you folded them into 4th or 8th their original size.

Oh, here come the guests! Now you give each guest a bingo card and a dauber (a pen, a pencil etc.), and explain the rules – you use a simple pattern (say, any line) and every time you draw one of the notes from the bowl and read the name to be marked, the guest has to stand up so that the rest can see him and get to know him.
Every winning guest will get a small prize, such as a glass of wine or a flower, and the game will continue until every name is read and every guest gets the wine or flower. Now you have a happy party, where everyone knows each other, and which also contains bingo! Isn't this nice?
